- Style - The style you choose depends on the application. Each style hammock has a particluar application:
- Brazilian - Great for colder climates. Light and portable.
- Camping - Light and portable. Optional rain fly or bug screens.
- Fabric - Softer feel than rope hammocks. Attractive.
- Mayan - Typically colorful designs. Hand woven from thin string. Light and portable.
- Poolside - Great near the pool or water. Quick dry and resist mildew.
- Rope - Light and portable. Cotton rope hammocks are more comfortable, but less durable than polyester.
- Size - Because hammocks come in various sizes, pick one that best fits your body. For example, if you are tall you may want a 13ft. hammock instead of the 11ft. Also, some are built for 2 or more people if you wish to share.
